Amazon has another one of their One Day Deals on one of my favorite camera lines: Panasonic Lumix.

This is not a pocket camera: DMC-LX5 10.1 MP Digital Camera with 3.8x Optical Image Stabilized Zoom and 3.0-Inch LCD, Leica DC Vario-Summicron lens (Black). The list price is $499, but it usually sells for about $369 (The white version is that price)
This is a more serious photographer’s point & shoot camera than I typically carry around, at an aggressive price point (full details after the jump).

If you want a simple pocket camera, I would suggest the Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS8 (14.1 MP Digital Camera with 16x Wide Angle Optical Image Stabilized Zoom and 3.0-Inch LCD) at $169. This was a $400 camera a few years ago.
