Shame on you for suggesting the health and well-being of the American people come before profits and power.
Splendid job of legislative work, to preclude the government from renegotiating its own bad laws. As I recall it was popular during the Bush years for Republican leaders in Congress to send out the description of the bill shortly before it was to be voted on, thus making it so their own members had insufficient time to flush out garbage provisions like this. i do like Part D for what it saves me, but it could be a lot better.
