This is another last minute fill in:

Today’s Kudlow & Company, is on CNBC today at 5pm. I’m scheduled to be on from 5:30 to 5:50 pm.

UPDATE: April 24, 2006, 4:46pm

Damn! I just sent all my "backup" ties in the office to Tiecrafters for repairs. Oh, well no tie (at least no sweater, either!)

Do me a favor Barry: Bitch slap Laffer so hard that he comes to his senses and admits that the Laffer Curve, as he originally proposed it, is the most worthless economic idea of the last fifty years.

no argument from me — but I’m in the remote studio, and he’s somewhere in D.C.

Holy sh*t. Laffer? As in the THE Laffer of the “Laffer Curve”?

The chief clown himself. This guy’s BS has been so discredited, for so long, only one of his sycophants like Kudlow would listen to him. No offense to you Barry, but I think I’d decline to be seen with the guy. Who wants to be associated with the Ugga Bugga voodoo economics king of all time? Not me. Good luck man, I hope whatever brain ailment he has doesn’t rub off on you.

Oh well. I’m actually going to make it home in time today to catch you on tv for the 1st time, so at least I’ll have that much. But seriously, you and Mr. Dorsey are among the handful of reality-based market commentators, so I’m wondering how hard it will be to keep a straight face in light of Mr. Laffers pollyanish view on so many subjects.

OMFG, did Larry Kudlow just ask the Congresswoman with a straight face whether a CIA action in Venezuela to assassinate Chavez was within the realm of reason? They’ve already tried once to depose him, so I suppose it is. But the man is democratically elected, and has every right to choose where to allocate the country’s natural resources.

Maybe Kudlow and Pat Roberston can get together and explore their assasination fetish together. Damn, how do these clowns have ANY credibility?

Barry this last minute fill in stuff is not good, looked like you just stepped off a bus or subway or something, must wear a tie just like on the floor (NYSE)

I find the poster who said “bitch slap Laffer” to be offensive, especially since you won’t be in same studio with him.

I think it’s more realistic to tell him ” you are going to bitch slap him next time you get the chance!!!

Hey, that oil in Venezuela is ours. It’s in the Bible. In the back somewhere. (Excellent example of the decadent entitlement morality of the US overclass).

Dorsey was pumpin the US megacaps again. Yeah, that’ll work someday. . .

Gotta wait until the big caps work before entry, rather than buyin ’em only cause they are cheap.

    No guarantee they won’t get cheaper . . .

At least Barry shaved this time. Gotta talk to Mrs. Big Picture about a wardrobe spruce up though….

“Dorsey was pumpin the US megacaps again. Yeah, that’ll work someday. . . ”

Dorsey’s a value guy (read some of his articles about economic moats to get a feel), so I won’t disparage his list of stocks that haven’t been this cheap since ’92.

What was really telling, though, was when Laffer told LK that he thought stocks were incredibly cheap. At the end of the segment, I thought Barry and Mr. Dorsey were gonna come through the screen and WWF style tag team poor Art.

As for the wardrobe, I think it just speaks to the fact that I need to get a job as a hedge fund guy. I’d love to be biz caj every day.
