Who Is The Anonymous Donor?

After an exhausting 3 day road trip away, the first thing I like do on my first night back is kick back and relax.

Depending on the time of year, that could mean any number of things. Could be a cigar, a walk by the beach, or a glass of port.

Tonite, it meant pouring a glass of Shiraz,  firing up the TiVo, and watching Curb Your Enthusiasm. Absolutely laugh out loud  hysterical — and that was before I drank the wine. You can really recognize LD’s stylistic fingerprints all over Seinfeld in the plot of this Curb.

I’ve seen them all, but I may have to go grab a few box sets of this; it will make for good airplane viewing . . .

Curb

Too, too funny . . .

    BR,
just saw you on Kudlow. You did look exhausted. Damn, you are good though!!! And this is a fantastic blog. That Allison chick said something that i thought was great. A further downturn in housing, coupled with the begining of lower employment will be the final push to this snowball rolling downhill till you know where. Get some sleep buddy, big day tomorrow.

    BR-

You have mentioned cigars from time to time, yet I have never seen the Tobacco Nazis respond. So what do you like (and no, I am not going to send you a box, I am just curious)?

Among those that you can get legally, my favorite is Arturo Fuente. Among contraband, I would say either Romeos or Chohibas. But contraband depends how they were stored more so than legal do.

I find it rather amazing that after generations we are still boycotting Cuba that offers a quality product while we are heavily involved with China and Vietnam which provide shit products. All part of the Reagan/Bush vision of predatory capitalism I suppose.

Hmm… I would rather spend the entire day doing my company’s books than watch 1 minute of Larry Davids completely unfunny show. But I felt the same way about Seinfield and when I saw Curb Your Enthusiasm the first time I knew why I loathed that show.

Each its own i guess. But I am interested in the answer to the Cigar question.

I have a few favorites (in order):

    • Padron 1964 Anniversarios maduros no. 6

    • Diamond Crown Robusto Maduro (I think its the #4 with a pigtail)

In a pinch, these will do:

    • Romeo Y Julieta Anniversario Churchill

    • Dunhill Signed Range Torpedo

Why is it less expensive to buy the five individual season of CYE than to purchase the five season boxed set?

    I’m confused.

I just saw that show the other night. That is some great writing.
I loved the irony of it all.

From Philadelphia, a plug for FX’s “It’s Always Funny in Philadelphia,” Seasons I and II of which are now on DVD. Kind of like Seinfeld, but the characters are more sociopathic and the plot lines more wicked. Danny Devito co-produces and joins the cast from the second season on, and Anne Archer gets a great opportunity to play against her typecast subservient wife.
