My undying gratitude goes out to all who fought in Europe as I was liberated by the Canucks in ’45 on a beautiful spring day. Incidentally, I know that in Vietnam, many wounded did not receive the Purple Heart.
Let’s not forget the hole those who died in service to the nation left behind in American society, the impacts of which we are still living with today.
My Mother was a nurse. Still alive at 92.5.
My Father went to navigation school and still alive at 93.1.
