Masters in Business: Roger Lowenstein

This week in our Masters in Business radio podcast, we speak with Roger Lowenstein, author of the award winning When Genius Failed: The Rise and Fall of Long-Term Capital Management.  His latest book is America’s Bank: The Epic Struggle to Create the Federal Reserve. (He is also a director of the Sequoia fund.)

Lowenstein discusses what his research and writing process is like. The author of 6 books started out as a local reporter, eventually spending 15 years at the WSJ, including 2 years writing the storied Heard on the Street column.

Lowenstein wrote one of the first book profiles of a then lesser known manager named Warren Buffett; his discussion of his time meeting and interviewing the people of Omaha about “little Warren” is absolutely must listening.
