A musical reccomendation for Mike B: The John Butler Trio
Good Excuse
"Oh boy won’t you just wake up
feel the humming
This good world is giving you
better start running
to catch up with your life, catch on up
Before the whole thing is throughHave you once? Have you twice?
Have you even conceived how
Really good boy you do got it
Go take another better look aroundYou are just another white boy
Thinking you’re so hard
Go take step outside see what’s shaking in the real world
Go take a step outside see what’s shaking in the real world
Go take a step outside see what’s shaking in the real world"

Love these guys! I first heard them on Air American’s Morning Sedition a few years ago and have been a fan ever since. I highly suggest the previous album “Sunrise Over the Sea” it’s one of my favorite CDs.
One warning, even though the album doesn’t sound jam band (at least to me) when seeing them live they are. Very good but not what I had expected. If they are coming to your town I still suggest for you to go.
I have been following the John Butler Trio for the last few years and seen them twice this year. They have put out some amazing music. Some of the best guitar work I have ever seen. It is good to see good things happen to good people. Check out these videos…

Safe music for mid-level corporate types that want to feel cool at a suburban bbq. One part Sublime, one part Dave Matthews, four parts ultra-santized hot air.
