My April Fool’s Joke Fail . . .

I had this wonderful April Fool’s gag planned — I was going to announce that due to my profligate counter cyclical spending, I was declaring bankruptcy. Too many Miami Condos bought 50% off peak price, one too many Bentley GTs.

(For the record: My finances are fine, and I own exactly zero Bentleys)

Than I remembered what happened the last internet goof I planned — this 2008 post — Internet Hoax Gooses Stock Market. It got picked up as a real article by MSM, and caused some embarrassment for Doug and others. (Doug’s April Fools joke for 2010 is here)

Regardless, Simon Johnson came up with this April Fool’s gem: Lloyd Blankfein: Time Man Of The Year.
