This week on our Masters in Business podcast, we speak with Wes Gray, former Captain in U.S. Marines, and founder of Alpha Architect
He studied economics at Wharton, graduated with honors before getting his MBA and PhD at University of Chicago. He joined the Marines, was sent to Iraq, where he was eventually embedded with the Iraqi Army as a Marines Intelligence Officer.
Wes described the parallels between War and Investing. The training one receives, to a standard operating procedure, helps one remain calm in periods of stress and chaos. Tghe application from military to Wall Street are obvious.
Gray combined his military and mathematical backgrounds as a quant running Alpha Architect. His focus on momentum and value have yielded excellent results.
