“I wouldn’t say anything here is very unexpected. ” I would: After Zogby’s awful 2004 Presidential call I wonder why anyone pays attention to him.
Yep, Zogby. Called nearly every close election in 2000, 2002 and 2004 wrong. Doesn’t hurt also that he called every close election 2000, 2002, 2004 for the Democrats either. First time he ever calls any close election incorrectly for the Republicans get back to us, thanks.
the final call goes to diebold.

it is all meaningless
There are calls, and then are polls.
These are the WSJ/Zogby polls — not calls . . .
Karl Rove has now informed us what the Republican mid-term election theme is going to be. The War on Terror.
So, its going to be another season of “you’re either with us or with the terrorists”, while Osama “dead or alive” still roams free; the Iraqi insurgents blow up anything at will; and our emergency responses look like “heckuva job” Katrina.
I am amazed at the ability of the American electorate to allow fear to obscure their judgement of the competence of the Republican party and the Bush administration to govern.
Boy did you hit the nail on the head… Anyone notice that there haven’t been any “terror alert color code” changes since the 2004 election? Every other week in ’04 we had one for “unspecified reasons” and now none? Hmmmm…
