“Dollars to Donuts it will be more liberal crap. Name a better system.”

That’s really not the point is it though? Of course it’s the best system that we know of, but that doesn’t mean it doesn’t have room for improvement?

And therein lies the main problem and fatal flaw with conservative free market dogmatic idealogues – it’s always either/or and never “how can we improve what we have”……

“Teddy” has posted 4 comments under the IP address 8.10.64.139.

    Each been under different name.

All have been about as intelligent and value adding as the one above.

Say good bye to Teddy, (and Joe, Joel & Cash).

…would pay to stream this, and the HBO Roman Polanski documentary from a bit ago.

Network TV leaving so much money on the table it is not even funny.

Rumor is TCM is going to offer a-la-carte download of classic movies soon. Can’t wait.

This show gives a better view and understanding as to what corporations are trying to do. The media usually elicits feelings of hate towards outsourcing, as many people are indeed losing jobs to China, but this shows how it actually just creates a paradox. I think the blue collar workers (no offense to them, my parents reside in that section) are just gonna have to get educated. Most people complain about their blue collar work being too boring, so do something about it. The corporations have. But, in the end, this has cost the youngest workers. Since most blue collar workers do not have the education, ability, or skills for a new better job, they resort to places teenagers usually work at. I’m a college student in a small town and work is impossible to find because all the factories near by have outsourced. That is a problem that I see that needs attention. And, hopefully, it will get fixed.

Just watched the first episode tonight and there is nothing like having Ted moralize for a couple of hours. I wouldn’t watch the show if anyone else in the American media even came close to covering anything related to China or the rest of the world for that manner.

The best line of the show was when Ted asked a Chinese drug researcher if it was good for America that he was located in China. As if the world Chinese don’t deserve modern drugs. On a side note, the number of facts or context given in this first hour was close to zero. Way to go Ted. Way to be a first world multimillionaire lottery winner, but your self advertising ideology will make you popular with the chicks.

BR: You must have seen a different show than I.
It was 43 minutes, and filled with facts and details.

I actually thought is was decent. I will watch the rest of the series. Maybe I am not as smart as everyone else posting, but I learned a couple of things. It certainly wasn’t “Planet Earth”, but it was better than most of the other things on TV.

Granted it is better then most things on TV but that’s not saying much. It’s the moralizing that wears on me.

I fell asleep 2/3 into it and woke mid-nite to see the rest of the part1 story

is it possible for capitalism to flurish longterm without a much lower paid slave laborer?

does it have to be true that the human commodity needs to be scarce to be valueable? in capitalism when human #s reduce by design – does the wealth effect go too?

rising tide floats all boats (if your in the boat)
