What’s in a name?
Well, when it comes to Apple’s expected iPhone 5, apparently a lot.
Instead of the iPhone 5, Apple unveiled the iPhone 4s — $199/16GB, $299/32GB & $399/64GB, with a 2 year contract. The iPhone 3GS is free with contract. Oh, and its on Sprint, with unlimited data contracts. Faster phone, better camera, available Oct. 14.
Sadly, Steven Jobs does not appear at the event.
Underwhelming is the general response. Markets sold off, the Nasdaq flipped from a plus 1.5% to a minus 1.5%. Those of you hoping to see markets getting more oversold won’t be disappointed.
An inauspicious debut for Tim Cook.
Update: Nasdaq is now 3.0%.
