Look Out Below, China Version (part 37)
in some states, they dont want to raise the gas tax, but have issues with roads, to the point that they were starting to undo some of the paved roads (going back to gravel), course that caused lots of feedback, and the state was saved by the counties stepping in to fix that, saving the state from that PR debacle, for now . and we have trained our politicians (finally) that we really dont like (ok hate) tolls. our politicians had been pushing a huge toll road (to replace some of the interstates maybe?). but after a few beatings, they finally go that people really dont like them. but they arent all that well trained, seem to have keep applying the beatings, regularly
but then when they need to find money (for say border security, by sending lots of state troopers and or national guard) they can do so.
