Barry, I just visited both Ferrari museums in Maranello and Modena, and “test drove” a California on the streets of Maranello. You should take a quick flight over there and check it out. Very cool. Gear heads only.
i remember when i was growing that it was possible to buy one of these. they were originally run in Le_mans 24 hour race. and they did beat Ferrari at least in one year (took all places)
I think you mean 1967, not 1987.
The GT-40 won it’s class at LeMan in ’67 through ’69, though I think the cars changed quite a bit over that time (especially the engine).
