Our earlier post, From Worst to First Second: Business Week Forecast 2007 may have been a bit premature: According to the fine number crunchers at Bespoke Group, as of today, we were in a 3 way tie for first place, based on S&P500 data:
"Below we highlight the strategists who made the closest year-end S&P 500
calls as of 12/21. Two Barry’s (Barry Hyman and Barry Ritholtz) are both within
a mere 7 bps of the actual price level of the S&P 500. (And we have to give
props to Barry Ritholtz for making
the best individual stock call in the survey with MOS – up over 300%.)
Of course, Business Week also looks at the Dow, 10 Year yield, Nasdaq, and Russell2000.
