2022 Audi Q4 e-tron Sportback

The Q4 E-Tron and Q4 E-Tron Sportback are geared toward first-time EV buyers who want a mainstream, well-made, luxury SUV. Based on the same MEB electric platform as the parent company Volkswagen, it’s similar to the VW ID.4.

Unlike their EV competitors, Audi is simply electrifying their current line of ICE SUVs.  Compared to futuristic and spacey models like 2023 Genesis GV60 and the Kia EV6, Audi’s crossovers present as very familiar vehicles that just happen to have an electric powertrain. Current Q3 or Q5 drivers will find a familiar cockpit and physical buttons in addition to a large center screen.

The 2022 edition has a Battery capacity of 82 kWh, and a charge time from 5% to 80% in about 38 minutes at a public DC fast charger. Power is 295 horsepower and the Q4 e-tron rns 0-60 mph in 5.8 sec. If you want more power, you have to wait for the 2023 E-Tron, with 402 Horsepower, 490 lb-ft of Torque, and 0-60 mph in 5.5 seconds.

The prices for the 2022 editions are quite reasonable: Premium at $53,300, Premium Plus at $57,400, and Prestige at $60,900. If you want the more powerful and luxurious 2023 models, you are going to pay up: Q4 E-Tron pricing for 2023 is Premium edition at $70,800; Premium Plus at $77,800, and the Chronos Edition at $86,400. These are all before federal and state tax credits.
