I would suggest that Wall Street is much closer in its path to becoming an Algocracy then most governments. I would suggest the closest thing to an Algocracy was New York City under the Bloomberg administration — a technocratic, benevolent dictatorship where crime was down (due to data analysis) and metrics and analytics mattered a great deal.
